Rooms That Just Won't Connect

That one corner of the house where everything slows to a crawl — it doesn't have to be that way. There's always a reason, and always a fix.

WiFi That Won't Reach the Patio

Your patio, yard, and garage are part of your home too. Whether it's a Zoom call outside or music by the pool, you deserve coverage out there.

Calls That Actually Stay Connected

No more missed moments with family or dropped work calls mid-sentence. We find exactly why it's been happening and fix it so it stops.

A Real Look at What's Going On with Your WiFi

We don't guess, and we don't just sell you a new router. We take the time to understand your home, your habits, and your needs — then give you a clear picture and a real plan.

We Walk Every Inch of Your Property

We move through your home the way you do — room to room, upstairs and down, out to the patio — measuring real signal strength at every step so nothing gets missed.

  • Indoor coverage analysis — every floor
  • Outdoor and yard signal testing
  • Finding what's crowding your signal
  • Detailed coverage heat map report

A Plan That's Built for Your Home

Once we know where the gaps are, you get a clear, written plan tailored to your specific layout and how you actually use the space — not a generic checklist.

  • Access point placement recommendations
  • Mesh network design (if needed)
  • Where to run a wire if you need one
  • Brand-agnostic equipment guidance

We Get the Most Out of What You Have

New hardware isn't always the answer. Often your existing equipment just needs the right configuration. We tune what's there before ever suggesting you spend more.

  • Router & AP configuration review
  • Band steering & QoS settings
  • Security & password best practices
  • Remote worker priority configuration

Smart Homes & Heavy Device Loads

Cameras, thermostats, locks, speakers, gaming rigs, kids' iPads — a modern home can have 40+ things fighting for the same WiFi. We size the network for the actual load and keep everything talking without dropping.

  • IoT segmentation (guest & smart-home VLANs)
  • Sized for 40+ connected devices
  • Gaming & streaming priority (QoS)
  • Camera and smart-lock reliability tuning
Popular Add-On

Take the Meeting to the Patio.

Because in Central Texas, the backyard is basically another room.

Add outdoor coverage to any assessment. We walk the yard, patio, garage, pool deck, and detached structures — then design a network that reaches everywhere you actually spend time. Zoom from the hammock during a mild March afternoon. Take the call by the pool in July. Get real signal in the workshop or the ADU. Your yard is Texas real estate — no reason it should be a WiFi dead zone.

What Customers Are Saying

We had dead spots in our master bedroom and my son's room upstairs. Jesse found the problem in 20 minutes — our router was fighting the neighbor's on the same channel. He fixed it on the spot and mapped the whole house. Night and day difference.

Sarah M.
Cedar Park, TX

I work from home and was losing Zoom calls every afternoon. Jesse ran a full assessment, showed me exactly where the signal dropped, and built a plan that didn't involve replacing everything I already owned. Problem solved for good.

David R.
Austin, TX (South Lamar)

We just moved into a two-story with stone veneer and the WiFi barely reached upstairs. Jesse did the assessment and the install — ran wired backhaul through the attic, set up mesh, and now we get full speed everywhere including the back porch.

* Replace these with your real customer stories, Jesse — even short two-liners work great.

Hi, I'm Jesse. I've Been Doing This a Long Time.

I've spent twenty-plus years designing networks for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies — the kind where a five-minute outage costs real money and downtime just isn't an option.

I started Peak WiFi ATX because it felt wrong to keep that expertise locked away in enterprise data centers when the people in my own neighborhood — friends, family, folks I've run into at H-E-B — were quietly frustrated with their home WiFi and figured that's just how it is.

It isn't. The reason your WiFi dies in the back bedroom isn't a mystery — it's usually one of a handful of specific things. A router placed wherever the cable jack was, not where the coverage should be. Signal getting absorbed by the wrong wall. A neighbor's network camping on your channel. Central Texas homes are especially rough on WiFi — tile roofs, brick veneer, and heavy foam insulation all eat signal, which is why what worked in your last place often doesn't work here.

After we walk the place, we sit down and I explain what I found. Some folks want the two-sentence version — here's the fix, when can we start. Others want to see the heat map and pick apart interference channels. Either way, you leave with WiFi that works in every room you actually use — and out to the yard, if that's what you need.

Right-Sized for Homes

Enterprise gear is overkill in a house. I recommend the best hardware for your home — nothing more, nothing less.

Networks That Cannot Fail

I've designed infrastructure where downtime simply wasn't an option. That discipline carries over.

Wireless From Day One

Troubleshooting WiFi and broadband connectivity has been part of my work since the very beginning of my career.

I Give You a Real Report

You'll leave with something written down — a clear summary of findings and a recommended path forward.

I Tune Before I Replace

More often than not, the right configuration change beats buying new hardware. I'll tell you honestly either way.

Austin Is My Home Too

I live here, I love it here, and I genuinely want to help this community thrive — one household at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Assessments start at $249 for homes under 2,000 sq ft, $349 for 2,000–4,000 sq ft, and $449 for larger or multi-story homes. Add outdoor coverage for a flat $149. 100% of the assessment fee credits toward installation if booked within 30 days.

Most assessments take 2–3 hours depending on the size of your home. We walk every room, test signal strength at multiple points, check for interference, and review your current equipment — then sit down and go through what we found.

Yes — we need access to your router, all rooms, and any outdoor areas you want covered. We also like to understand how you use your space so we can tailor recommendations to your actual habits.

No. We're brand-agnostic and always try to optimize what you already have before recommending new hardware. When new equipment is needed, we recommend consumer-grade gear that's right-sized for your home — not enterprise overkill.

We serve Austin, Cedar Park, and Round Rock, TX and surrounding neighborhoods. If you're nearby but not sure, just ask — we're flexible.

Absolutely. Add our outdoor coverage assessment to any package for a flat $149. We test patios, yards, pool decks, detached garages, workshops, ADUs, and anywhere else you spend time outside.

You receive a written report with signal coverage heat maps, findings on interference and dead zones, and a specific action plan with recommended fixes. We walk through everything together — as high-level or technical as you want.

We still recommend a full assessment because WiFi problems in one room are almost always caused by something happening elsewhere — router placement, channel congestion, or building materials blocking signal. The assessment finds the actual root cause so the fix sticks.
